This will be about simply Adam to before Noah ,things after Noah have been thoroughly covered in Babel and the flood blogs.
Adam ,the first human creation of God and his name means “Of the red soil” ,Adam comes from adamah meaning soil/clay/dirt from the word “adom” meaning red because the soil was red ,so Adam means from the red soil.He lived 930 years in total.
Chavah חוה better known as Eve ,in modern Hebrew chavah means a farm,cattle ranch in particular “חווה farming would be more likely written with two vav letters.
The name Chavah/Eve comes from the word Chai meaning “to live” so Chavah/Eve really means “experience” ,so Eve means experience.
Hevel/Abel means vain,lost or wasted ,not likely his true name but given later by scribes for his tragic death.
Kayin/Cain meaning Acquired from the word Kanah meaning to buy,procure or acquire.Eve said “with the help of the Lord I have acquired a son” and we all know the story so we won’t go there.
Sheit/Seth meant appointed or granted
He may have settled Egypt and North Africa in pre flood times because Seth/Set/Seti was a ancient Egyptian god of war and many many Pharaoh’s took the name Set or names rooted in Set.Also ancient Egyptians called what is modern day Libya “Set”

I believe Sheit/Seth/Seti settled in North Africa in pre flood times and like many killed in the flood was later revered as a god.
Enosh (often mispronounced as Ee-nash but is actually supposed to short E like pet and O like boat) means mortal,fatal,wounded but in modern Hebrew is a word for man and likely the root for Ish meaning man and Ishah meaning woman.
It is likely that from the sins of those before him he was the worlds first child born sick or diseased or disabled and was more frail than anyone before him.Remember that Exodus 20 ,”the sins of the father remembered on the third and fourth generations” and Enosh is third from Adam who sinned first.
Keinan קֵינָֽן: sometimes Kenen ,meaning really unknown may have been related to Cain (Acquired) or may have meant fixed.
Mahale’el meaning God praised or praise of God.
Yered/Jared/Yarid in the Quran meaning to descend ,go down or go forth ,likely a traveler and wanderer.
Chanokh/Enoch חֲנֽוֹךְ meaning to teach and was the first truly righteous man to live and follow God.Lived 365 years and was taken to paradise without ever dying.4 books of Enoch/Chanokh were written by Ethiopian Jews in the Ge’ez language and they are much studied but are only official scripture in the “Ethiopian orthodox Christian Bible” And there were two Enoch’s also another from Cain’s line.
Metushelach/Methuselah meaning death will send or in others death by sword or javelin ,the longest living person in the Bible 969 years total.Some have suggested his life was so cursed he begged for death ,hence send death or death will send.
Lemekh son of Metuselach and there is also another by that name.The name seems mean “to become impoverished” rooted in the word makh meaning low ,so Lemekh means sort to become low or poor.
Noach from the word Nach (rest) so Noah/Noach meant rested.

So Cain had a son Enoch/Chanokh but no relation to the Sethian Enoch
Irad ,the meaning likely from” ir” meaning city ,think about the Hebrew word for city “ir” עיר and the earliest cities like Ur,Uruk(Erekh) and Eridu .After Cain’s descendent’s could not farm Irad started the first city ,most likely Eridu because Ur and Erekh were post flood but Eridu was pre flood.
M’chu’ya’el (Mehuyael) hard to pronounce ,meaning is tricky may have meant “God made interesting” the Cain line was cursed but gave gave this guy a little mercy.
M’tusha’el (Methushael) little known on him may have meant champion of God
Lemekh but not the same as the Sethian Lemekh but will will delve into his offspring next.
Adah meaning wittness Lemekh’s first wife gave birth to Yaval/Jabal meaning stream or flowing.He was said to live in tents and provide livestock as food.She also bore Yuval/Jubal possibly meaning Ram’s horn and is the father of all musicians.
Tzilah (Zillah) meaning shade or protection and she had a son named Tuval Kayin(Tubal Cain) who was the first to fashion metal tools ,and a daughter named Na’amah which meant delightful or pleasant.
Of coarse Lemekh was cursed for using tools or knives to wound and kill someone.
So who was Cain’s wife ,did he sleep with a sister or were there other humans around as some suggest.As far as humanoids not mentioned in Genesis who were not the spawn of Adam like Neandertal’s or something.For that answer we don’t know,maybe but no evidence of that really.No extra Biblical texts mention it like the books of Enoch,Talmud,Zohar or Alpha bet of Ben Sirach.Nothing gives any evidence of humanoid species unless you are talking about the spawn of the benei Elohim who mated with human women but in this blog is not dealing with that era.
The Quran says Cain married a twin sister named Aklima.The book of Jubilees another like Enoch, a Ge’ez language Ethiopic text says Cain had a sister named Avan who he married.Avan interestingly in Hebrew means sin/inequity.As far as Aklima ,in the Islamic tradition both Abel and Cain wanted to marry Aklima and the murder of Abel was over Aklima essentially although it’s more complex than that but that’s the gist of it.
