Was there a world before Adam and Chavah(Eve)

Has anyone heard the claim of a world before Adam or the pre Adamite world theory.So a Jurassic world era where dinosaurs lived and angels lived in the earth with the dinosaurs.But then the war heaven as per Revelation 12:7 happened at that point and so the Jurassic world was destroyed in a pre flood flood.Then the the earth became void and choatic as per Genesis 1:1-2 and creation began anew.

I would site the scripture these people use to base their theory on but I can’t do that because there is absolutely no scripture to base any pre Adamite world on.One person said that because in a King James translation it said in Gen 1:28 to replenish the earth and it does say that.So they said by the use of replenish that it means a world was previously destroyed.Meaning the world was once full and was destroyed in the pre Adamite flood.

28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” KJV

Here is the ESV (English standard version)

²⁸ “And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

The ESV does not say replenish nor does even the use of the word replenish imply a pre existing world either.

Lets talk Hebrew:

וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ אֹתָם֘ אֱלֹהִים֒ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר לָהֶ֜ם אֱלֹהִ֗ים פְּר֥וּ

רְב֛וּ וּמִלְא֥וּ אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ וְכִבְשֻׁ֑הָ וּרְד֞וּ בִּדְגַ֤ת הַיָּם֙

וּבְע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וּבְכָל־חַיָּ֖ה הָֽרֹמֶ֥שֶׂת עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ

“And God blessed them and God said to them:Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and go and rule over the fish of the sea’s and the birds of the sky and all living things that creep upon the earth”

That is the original text there is nothing about replenishing at all.I respect the King James but language was different in 17th century England and a lot of words in the that era do not have the same meanings as today.Example “thou shalt not kill” and people say it should say murder and not kill.One because they think it’s hypocritical because of all the death in the Bible and also the Hebrew text and the Hebrew text said “Tirtzach” meaning to murder not kill, which kill is harag.In 17th century England the word kill meant premeditated murder ,kill meant murder ,the term kill did not mean any type of taking life animal or human justified or not.In that time the word “kill” meant murder with intent.In those times in England an accidental death was not even a crime but a civil offense.Also no other English translation yields replenish in that injunction and I checked several.Can we agree that using Gen 1:28 to assert that there was a pre Adamite world is wrong and total nonsense.

So the same guy calls upon Yechezkel/Ezekiel 28:13-15 and says the Garden of Eden in Ezekiel 28 is about a pre Adamite paradise and not the Garden of Eden in Genesis.I’m not bothering to quote Ezekiel 28:13-15 because it’s just to rediculous,read Ezekiel 28 if you and see if you like and if you think it’s talking about a pre Adamite Eden and not the Genesis Eden.I’m 100% certain that Ezekiel 28 is about the Genesis Eden ok.

Also the same person says that the lost city of Atlantis was from a pre Adamite era.I will admitt it’s been a while since read my Greek stuff so I may be rusty. However as far as I remember Atlantis was never meant to have been in Plato’s writings a historical city.Atlantis was a metaphor it was a example of how a city rose by it’s virtue but then was lost because people became corrupt.I could be wrong but I don’t think Atlantis was meant to be real but a lesson like C.S Lewis and Narnia.I don’t believe Plato thought Atlantis was real himself but used it as a example.

There is also a notion that that a old earth age world view explains why science dates the universe as so old and arguing and old earth era makes the Bible more hip.This is not true ,there are many ways to explain why science doesn’t disprove the Bible and I have talked about those things in my blog on the big bang. For instance that If that nature of the forces of nature at earlier points in creation were different then the way the react to matter is different.So if in todays world if it takes 20,000 years for the elements to say wear down a mountain from 10K feet to 5K feet.If at a different time the forces of nature were more intense then that could happen faster.Also the speed of light changes and is now actually slowing down and time is related to speed and the speed of light especially.So if the nature of time was different in a different era then that also throws of scientific calculations of the earths age.You do not need to believe in a fantasy JRR Tolkien Dungeons and Dragons nonsense land to explain the earths age in a Biblical context.

You would think if something so dramatic as a old earth pre Adamite world existed and then was destroyed that scripture would at least deal with it.There is no mention of it anywhere in Tanakh nor the New Testament nor any of the Catholic Appocrypha texts.And nor is it mentioned In Enoch or any other Ethiopic text nor in Rabbinical literature like the Talmud and all that.So I think that this is all nonsense and Gandor and Bilbo Baggins were fantasy afterall.
