So continued from the first article ,yes a tough subject but worth addressing.

Does the Talmud say that the Mother of Jesus ,Mary is a whore? Quick answer ,impossible to say being that Mary as a name was so common ,it may have been refering to any Mary .

Does the Talmud say Jesus is in hell? Here is Tractate Gittin 57.a 3

אֲזַל אַסְּקֵיהּ בִּנְגִידָא לְיֵשׁוּ הַנּוֹצְרִי, אֲמַר לֵיהּ: מַאן חֲשִׁיב בְּהָהוּא עָלְמָא? אֲמַר לֵיהּ: יִשְׂרָאֵל. מַהוּ לְאִדַּבּוֹקֵי בְּהוּ? אֲמַר לֵיהּ: טוֹבָתָם דְּרוֹשׁ, רָעָתָם לֹא תִּדְרוֹשׁ, כׇּל הַנּוֹגֵעַ בָּהֶן כְּאִילּוּ נוֹגֵעַ בְּבָבַת עֵינוֹ.

Onkelos then went and raised Jesus the Nazarene from the grave through necromancy. Onkelos said to him: Who is most important in that world where you are now? Jesus said to him: The Jewish people. Onkelos asked him: Should I then attach myself to them in this world? Jesus said to him: Their welfare you shall seek, their misfortune you shall not seek, for anyone who touches them is regarded as if he were touching the apple of his eye (see Zechariah 2:12).

(It does state Yeishu the Notzri which makes it clear that Jesus of Nazereth is being talked about and not another Jesus)

אֲמַר לֵיהּ: דִּינֵיהּ דְּהָהוּא גַּבְרָא בְּמַאי? אֲמַר לֵיהּ: בְּצוֹאָה רוֹתַחַת. דְּאָמַר מָר: כׇּל הַמַּלְעִיג עַל דִּבְרֵי חֲכָמִים נִידּוֹן בְּצוֹאָה רוֹתַחַת. תָּא חֲזִי מָה בֵּין פּוֹשְׁעֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לִנְבִיאֵי אוּמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם.

Onkelos said to him: What is the punishment of that man, a euphemism for Jesus himself, in the next world? Jesus said to him: He is punished with boiling excrement. As the Master said: Anyone who mocks the words of the Sages will be sentenced to boiling excrement. And this was his sin, as he mocked the words of the Sages. The Gemara comments: Come and see the difference between the sinners of Israel and the prophets of the nations of the world. As Balaam, who was a prophet, wished Israel harm, whereas Jesus the Nazarene, who was a Jewish sinner, sought their well-being.

Clearly here the Rabbi’s do not know the identity of the Messiah and a lot of dribble and nonsense and that Jesus although more righteous then Balaam give’s himself a punishment of boiling in a disgusting mix of feces.So here the Talmud is obviously in the wrong of course.This set of documents were never intended as scripture and today much of the Orthodox Jewish world views the Talmud as scripture.It’s original intent was a commentary on the oral tradition that had been codified.I would make the point though that if you are going to argue on the most meaningful point and that is ,who is Jesus ,he is God ,Messiah and King but if you spout out nonsense about the Talmud you lose your credibility on the real issues and that is why this article was important.

In closing this is important to fight for the savior and bad youtube videos or bad blog articles taking Talmudic phrases out of context throws away our moral credibility on the more crucial issues.We must also not lose sight of the fact that although mainstream Judaism rejected Yeshua the Messiah that it does not mean that the Talmud cannot be useful for historical context on Biblical issues and Old Testament interpretation.Always remember this document is just Rabbi’s talking with each other similar to a thread on Reddit or something and should never be seen as a divine or inspired book or set of books really.

In closing in this article I tried to give a reality based look at the Talmud and not to venerate it as inspired but also not to demonize it either.This is Rabbinical literature and indeed has wisdom but is not like the Bible.Not dissimilar to Christian books like CS Lewis or Milton ,some things are based on scripture and other things just writer opinion and maybe wrong.Only the Bible is true divine inspired but reading other books is fine if understood in context.
