Is our God the YHVH who’s human manifestation Jesus Christ all knowing?

Let us begin with the case for.

That is very strong scriptural case for omniscience and so what is the case against??

Genesis 6:6

6 And the Lord regretted that He had made man upon the earth, and He became grieved in His heart.

I just say that God’s omniscience does exclude him have feelings about the actions of his creation.People often think that if God knows all would he not stop it but that would interfere with free will of man.Think of an earthly father who has a drug addicted child and knows if they do not stop the drugs something bad will eventually happen.And when something does happen to a son or daughter they will still feel grief.Even though an earthly father does not know everything ,God who for arguments sake does know all ,does that stop him from feeling pain when tragedy befalls humankind.

1 Samuel 15:11 NIV

¹¹ “I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions.” Samuel was angry, and he cried out to the Lord all that night.

I would say here that God is showing how upset he is with Saul or Shaul as King.Also remember Israel wanted a King against the prophet Shmuel or Samuel’s advice and so likely Saul was an ill fated King from the beginning but God gave Israel a King maybe to show Israel its foolishness is disregarding Samuel the prophet.So maybe this scripture actual shows God’s omniscience!

Exodus 32

 ¹⁰ Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”

¹¹ But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God. “Lord,” he said, “why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? ¹² Why should the Egyptians say, ‘It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people.

Here I think is time to make an important point and that God made man to have an interactive relationship.God wanted to see if Moses would have compassion on the people like Abraham had compassion of the two cities on the plain and pleaded with God for Sodom and Gomorah.

For instance Noah never pleaded in compassion for the pre flood world and some Rabbi’s suggested that this made Abraham more righteous than Noah because Abraham pleaded for the two cities whereas Noah never did.Perhaps the test here was more on Moses than was God putting his decision on Moses but testing Moses’s mercy! God made man to have a relationship not to command robots ,God wants to talk and discuss thing with angels and humankind not because God is not sovereign but because God wants an interactive relationship.Like God asking Adam and Eve in the garden why they were hiding when he knew why they were hiding!

let us leave the Bible and go to secular arguments :

Neil deGrasse Tyson a world reknowned physicist said: “God if he does exist is either not all knowing or not all benevolent because of the state of human suffering in the world”

So how would I deal with this:

1.Let me get to the point ,man was created in utter paradise and pleasure (BTW Eden means pleasure in Hebrew) and man by his free will was banished from Eden!

2.People ask: Why did God allow evil if God knew man would sin? Evil needed to exist to give man free will,how could there be free will without temptation,we would be mere robots.

3.Remember that, and this is not a popular notion and a very sobering thought for many.Humankind is not the center of the universe ,God has existed for eternity and created billions of angels and an entire universe.Yes God does love humans, and he loved us so much he sent his only son to die on our behalf so we could have eternal life (John 3:16)

There are those that argue that God should not have created humankind if anyone should die and end up in hell ,this is dangerous egocentric logic! God made man in paradise but man chose disobedience ,and God still took on human flesh and suffered and died on our behalf ( Jesus )

Also remember that many of the same humanist thinkers that say God does not care for humankind,they themselves often show little regard for their fellow man.Ask yourself if it makes sense to say God fails to care for man when humans themselves fail to care for each other.

How often do people say to another that they lack compassion for a person’s suffering because they put themselves in that situation.But when God when offered his only Son to end our suffering we call God non benevolent,does this make sense?

Another question is if God is all knowing why were the eventually non saved people created.let point out some thoughts on the purity of heaven itself,so why must heaven be totally pure from all sin.
God’s Kingdom is a place of eternal perpetual love and is not like the world where people live different life styles and have friends with similar interests.And people tolerate things they do not like for the sake of peace and different people do their own thing.In God’s Kingdom people are all unified in love of God and each other without agreeing to disagree . So if one tiny sin in heaven was validated it would taint all of heaven because it would have to be accepted ,you cannot sin in private in heaven and be Holy around people.If one person sinned in heaven then it would have to be validated and loved by all and then all of heaven would be poisoned and corrupted.Heaven is not a do your own thing place but it is place of eternal perpetual love of God and each other,so one man’s sin would then taint all,so there can be no sin at all in heaven!

God created man to serve God not God to serve man and man was created in paradise but man rebelled and humankind has continued ever since to reject God by his choice and man has a responsibility to be Holy like God.And God knew man could not be Holy on his own so he sent his Son to die for us.So if God adjusted his standards of holyness so we could live as we want and still go to heaven or at least not be punished in hell then that would be saying that humankind is above God!
