Here we will take a look a the Sh’khinah שכינה which means indwelling from the word shakhan meaning to dwell and means “divine presence” or can mean “Holy Spirit” in Christian terms. This is from Parahash Noach chapter 7 verse 40.
Noach: Verse 40
But when people corrupt their ways, do not observe the commandments of the Torah, and sin before its Master, then it is as if they drive the Shechinah out of the world. Then the earth is left corrupt, for the Shechinah is repelled by it and does not dwell on it. Then, the earth is corrupt. And why should the earth be corrupt? Because a different spirit rests upon it, causing the corruption. (The rest of this paragraph is a latter addition.)
Now other than making it a synonym for the Holy Spirit it is a complex thing,I would say it is more the indwelling of the Holy Spirit or the glory cloud of the Torah that followed the Ark of God or the Covenant. And some of the Aramaic targums for the Torah when the Jews were in Babylon used the Sh’khinah as a name for God.Which shows again that the Trinity is old and not new and that the Holy Spirit was important even before New Testament times.
Here to Parashah Noach chapter 10 verse 62 and the Neshamah
Noach: Verse 62
Come and behold: the Neshamah emerges , and it passes through mountains of separation, there, the Ruach connects to the Neshamah. The Neshamah descends further down toward and the Nefesh, joins the Ruach, and they all connect with each other. Rabbi Yehuda said: The Nefesh and the Ruach are included one with the other The Neshamah resides in a man’s ways .The Neshamah resides in a secret compartment, whose location is unknown.
In the the Torah and most of the Tanakh (Old Testament) neshamah means to breath. Here is Genesis 2:7
7“And the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and He breathed into his nostrils the soul of life, and man became a living soul”
נִשְׁמַ֣ת here the word nishmat is used to mean breathed but in later times and I am not sure exactly when ( I think early medieval) neshamah came to mean soul and a higher form of soul then a nefesh the more basic soul.I do not know this for sure but I have often thought that because we are born into sin we have the nefesh the more carnal aspect of our soul. However when we become born again (born from above) we get the neshamah the higher form of the soul.So the word ruach literally meant wind but also means spirit and neshamah meant breathe but now means a higher soul and nefesh means life force and is a lower word for soul which can also refer to animal life. Here in Genesis 1:20 nefesh clearly in this context is talking about animal life or in this case sea or water life.
“And God said let the waters run in a swarm of living creatures and let birds fly upon the earth and upon the face the expanse of the heavens”
Here nefesh נֶ֣פֶשׁ indicates creature.

Now we come to some things on the issue of punishment.
Daniel 12:2 niv
2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
And now to verse 69 in Noach
Noach: Verse 69
Rabbi Aba said that in Gehenom, there are compartments upon compartments, seconds, thirds, and so on until seven – the friends have already explained this issue. Blessed are the righteous who guard themselves from the sins of the wicked and do not follow in their paths nor defile themselves. For when a person who has become impure dies and passes onto the World of Truth, he goes down into Gehenom. There he descends, until he reaches the lowest compartment.
Geihinom ,this word is a Jewish post Biblical mythology as a place of eternal punishment for some and temporary correction for others. The word means Valley of Hinnom where the Canaanites sacrificed children to the god Moloch.Although no specific passages says the Canaanites sacrificed to Moloch but putting several passages together like in Leviticus and 2nd Chronicles implies this did happen and is accepted by most scholars but citing the verses is not relevant to our discussion.Later on a belief the Valley of Hinom was where Israeli’s near Jerusalem burned their garbage and this area was constantly on fire and is where perdition became associated with fire. However later discoveries call into question if second Temple Israeli’s ever burned their garage at that location. So basically Geihinom is the Orthodox Jewish hell which is not always eternal. The valley of Hinnom also may have been where Baal worshipping Israelites sacrificed to Baal also. This is a common Hebrew word for hell as a place of punishment as opposed to She’ol which is more like a resting place for the dead and I believe She’ol means grave originally.
Here in verse 70 we get into Avadon or Abbadon.
Noach: Verse 70
And there are two compartments close to each other that are called Sheol and Avadon. Whoever reaches Sheol is judged and punished there and is then raised to a different, but higher, compartment. This continues until he is released from there. But those who go down and reach Avadon are never raised from there again. That is why it is called Avadon (Eng. ‘perdition’), because they are lost there forever.
Avadon or Abbadon comes from the word אָבַד meaning lost and in this place one is lost forever. And here are some scripture on the issue
- Job 26:6: Sheol is naked before Him; Abaddon has no cover.
- Job 28:22: Abaddon and Death say, “We have only a report of it.”
- Job 31:12: A fire burning down to Abaddon, Consuming the roots of all my increase.
- Psalm 88:11: Is your steadfast love declared in the grave, or your faithfulness in Abaddon?
- Proverbs 15:11: Sheol and Abaddon lie exposed to the LORD, How much more the minds of men!
- Proverbs 27:20: Sheol and Abaddon cannot be satisfied, Nor can the eyes of man be satisfied
- Avadon sounds a lot like this from Revelation.
- The Judgment of the Dead from Revelation 20
- 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

In the Breishit or Genesis section in parashah Noach 25:193 ,I will paraphrase and give the gist there is not enough space in the blog to quote the English and Aramaic word for word ,so please look these things up for yourself.
Animals before the flood of Noah during the time of the Nefilim and giants when angels mated with human women.they mated across different species .Meaning for instance Lions mated with Jackels example in the Aramaic it said spoiled or tainted all flesh. So hence all flesh was perverted leaving no flesh fully clean. This world view of all of all flesh being spoiled is very Christian and not a typical Jewish perspective. This does not speak of Jesus but does deal with the notion that all flesh both animal and human is to tainted for salvation to come by anything but faith alone. Here is the Zohar in Aramaic on this.
Noach: Verse 193
Come and behold: The wicked of the world caused all the creatures TO MATE WITH SPECIES NOT THEIR OWN. They thereby sought to destroy the work of Creation BY MIXING AND ALTERING SPECIES. They caused all the creatures to pervert their ways on earth, as they themselves had done. The Holy One, blessed be He, said to them, ‘As you seek to destroy My work of Creation, I shall fully grant your wish. “And every living substance that I have made, will I destroy from off the face of the earth” (Beresheet 7:4). I shall bring the world back to water, as in the beginning, cover it with water, and then make other creatures who are fit to exist in the world.’
And another thing to remember the next time someone says the Bible can’t be true because of Dinosaurs. If before the flood things lived much longer like Noah lived about 950 years for instance.Humans only live a fourth to a fifth of our lives, women stop growing at 14 or 15 and men at 17-19 most often.Although Julius Irving famously started UMass Amherst in his freshmen year at 6’1 but graduated and went on to the NBA at 6’7 at age 22 or so.However as opposed to people lizards grow their whole life ,so if in the times of Adam,Enosh and Noah a lizard could live 250 years it could easily grow to 40 to 70 feet tall and with animals mating cross species this could explain the existence of wierd giant lizards.Dinosaurs are lizards and giant birds ,Tyrannosaurus rex means tyrant lizard king.

Now it is time to discuss “Nukva נקבא
“Nukva” (Aramaic) or “Nekevah” (Hebrew) means “female”. In Kabbalistic teachings, it represents the feminine aspect of the divine and the final Sefirah (emanation) of Malchut (Kingship), which is considered the vessel that receives divine light and interacts with the physical world.
In this context, it is also called the Lower Shekhinah (Divine Presence). Nukva is the counterpart to Ze’er Anpin (the “Male” aspect in Divinity) and receives light and sustenance from it, which is then passed down to the worlds below
This word has come up earlier in the Zohar but we were dealing with other things. This word means female in Aramaic and the feminine aspect of the divine and I believe the Bride of Christ which is also why Nukva is associated with Malkhut or kingdom because the Kingdom of God’s people are the Bride of Christ. This is why it goes along with the male Zeir Anpin which I believe is a secret reference to Mashiach who is the Bridegroom (Jesus/Yeshua)).And also the Zeir Anpin is often seen as the Torah and we know Jesus is the Torah (John 1:1-2)
1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning”
The Torah is the word because the Torah is not always the five books of Moses ( The Chumash) but all of God’s instruction to man because Torah means instruction or teaching. From the word Yarah meaning to shoot ,so in other words showing people how to hit the mark.Whereas as the word for sin chata חטא means an archer missing the target. There are other words for sin though besides chata and chata is often but not in every case associated with unintentional sin ,so chata sort of means to fall short or literally to miss the mark.
Aveirah עברה means trespass or transgression and means a crininal offense often a felony of modern Israel. The word pesha פשע can also mean transgression and this word is used in Isaiah 53:5.
Avon עוון which is associated with guilt, inequity and intentional sin and this word is used for sin in the Ten Commandments in the “sins of the fathers” discourse. This also means misdemeanor in modern Israel.
Here we are now in parashah Lekh Lekha (go for yourself) chapter 25 verse 237.
Lech Lecha: Verse 237
“And Melchizedek king of Shalem brought forth bread and wine…” (Beresheet 14:18). Rabbi Shimon opened the discourse, saying, “In Shalem also is set his tabernacle” (Tehilim 76:3). Come and behold, When the Holy One, blessed be He, WHO IS THE SECRET OF BINAH, decided to create the world, WHICH IS THE SECRET OF ZEIR ANPIN THAT IS CALLED THE ‘WORLD’, He produced a flame from the Holy illumination. As wind blew wind, THE FLAME darkened and began to burn. And He took out from within an abyss a particular drop, which He joined with the flame. With them, He created the world, WHICH IS ZEIR ANPIN.
Here we are with Malki Zedek (King of righteousness or just King) the Priest of Shaleim (Salem) (and the site of modern day Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) In Hebrew and Old Testament thinking righteousness and Just were synonyms.
Many people believe that Abraham’s encounter with Malki Zedek was a pre-incarnate Jesus. Here is Hebrews 7
Melchizedek the Priest
7 This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, 2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.” 3 Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.
4 Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder! 5 Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people—that is, from their fellow Israelites—even though they also are descended from Abraham. 6 This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. 7 And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater. 8 In the one case, the tenth is collected by people who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living. 9 One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham, 10 because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor.
Jesus Like Melchizedek
11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? 12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also. 13 He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. 14 For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. 15 And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, 16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is declared:
“You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek

Here we are now in parashah Vayera (and he appeared) in verse 6
Vayera: Verse 6
As soon as Abraham appeared, “the flowers appeared on the earth.” THIS MEANS THAT the powers of the earth were amended and revealed. “The time of the singing of the birds (also: ‘pruning’) has come,” REFERRING TO THE TIME when the Holy One, blessed be He, told him to circumcise himself. THE TERM ‘PRUNING’ ALLUDES TO THE REMOVAL OF THE FORESKIN. Thus, the time was ripe for the covenant to appear in Abraham, MEANING when he was circumcised. Only then was the verse, “THE FLOWERS APPEARED…” fulfilled through him, and the word of the Holy One, blessed be He, was revealed openly to him. As it is written, “And Hashem appeared to him,” AFTER HE WAS CIRCUMCISED.
I believe this is a reference to the Bride of Christ in that the Rose in the thorns (Songs of Songs 2:2) is Israel which was the beginning of God’s family and from that line came Messiah and his bride. So the covenant with Abraham began Gods relationship with his eventual Bride with Yeshua as the promised Bridegroom.
Here we are in Vayera chaper 6 verse 82
Vayera: Verse 82
If he wishes to cleave to the Other Side, and is intent upon it, he draws the same from above down and brings it upon himself. They used to say THAT TO DRAW SOMETHING DOWN FROM ABOVE depends mainly on speech, deed, and the wish to cleave to it. This is how that certain side that he cleaves to is drawn down from above.
This is talking about the Sitra Achara (other side or realm of evil in Aramaic)
The Sitra Achara is all evil angels (demons) and people both alive and dead living or resting in rebellion against God ,in simple terms ,all that is against God ,sort of like the Whore of Babylon of Revelation.
Here is Vayera 20 verse 254
Vayera: Verse 254
So when the Holy One, blessed be He, takes revenge on the worshipers of the planets and constellations, it shall be said, “I will make men more rare than fine gold.” This is King Messiah, who shall rise up over all peoples of the world and be so honored that all of humanity will bow before him and obey him. This is as it is written, “They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him…the kings of Tarshish…shall bring presents…” (Tehilim 72:9-10).
Philippians 2:10-11
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
It is in the Aramaic explicitly מַלְכָּא מְשִׁיחָא this means King Mashiach (Messiah)
Before him they shall kneel

Now we find ourselves in parashat Chayei Sarah (life of Sarah) chapter 3 verse 19.
Chayei Sarah: Verse 19
Come and behold: Eve came into the world and clung to the serpent. He injected impurities into her, and she brought death to the world and to her husband. Sarah then came and went down INTO THE PLACE OF THE OTHER SIDE, BUT she rose again without any KLIPOT clinging to her, as it is written, “And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had” (Beresheet 13:1). When Noah came to the world, it is written that “he drank of the wine, and was drunk, and he was uncovered within his tent” (Beresheet 9:21).
Next is also from Breishit in the Chayei Sarah 3:19 it talks of through the nachash or snake and the snake poisoned Chavah(Eve) and Eve brought death into the world. This promotes a original sin world view ,which again is more Christological than a orthodox Jewish hashkafah (point of view) this is a pro Yeshua hashkafah.Obviously this is mystical midrash or legend but it shows that in spite of what people say about Judaism in public in secret the Rabbi’s hold beliefs about about the fully corrupted the world and all flesh is.
Now to verse 80 in Chayei Sarah
Chayei Sarah: Verse 80
Rabbi Yosi asks why all kinds of witchcraft and sorcery abide only in women. He said that when the serpent came upon Eve, he injected impurities only into her and not into her husband. He said, Assuredly this is so. Rabbi Yosi kissed Rabbi Yitzchak and said, Many times have I asked upon this matter, but never deserved to understand it until now.
These are interesting legends and I will not offer a personal opinion on why witchcraft tends to be associated with women because I do not know and scripture never explicitly states and the Zohar is mystical legend not scripture. But it is likely women are more alive inside and more spiritual.Even the Hebrew word for wisdom is phrased in the feminine and in the book of Proverbs wisdom is often called a woman. It does seem women are more shrewed, more cunning than men and this works for good an evil I suppose.

Here we are now in parashat Chayei Sarah chapter 20 verse 155
Chayei Sarah: Verse 155
We learned that Rabbi Yochanan said, Metatron, the great minister, is a boy, a servant whose Rabbi, his master, rules him. He is in charge of the soul and gives it daily of the light he was ordered TO GIVE IT. In the future, he will receive an account in writing from the cemetery, from Dumah FOR EACH BODY that he can show to his Master. He will turn that backbone into yeast TO BUILD THE BODY under the ground, to mend and wholly revive the body, AS IS PROPER FOR a body without a soul. Later, the Holy One, blessed be He, will send the soul to its place WITHIN THE BODY. THIS WILL BE AFTER IT COMES TO THE LAND OF YISRAEL.
First it speaks of Metatron who is known in the 3rd book of Enoch as the little YHVH and many believe that is a reference to Jesus if you read.It also says Metatron is a Sar which often can mean Prince and Jesus is often known as a Prince. It also calls Metatron a boy or son using the word nar and we know Jesus is known as the “Son of God” .Although nar means boy not son remember we are dealing with Aramaic and not Hebrew.Remember that we are not arguing a literally reading of the Zohar but that Jesus is in secret code.
So who is Metatron מטטרון ,he is a hypothetical angel who is not found in scripture but only in the extra Biblical Rabbinical texts like the 3rd Book of Enoch (also known as the Seifer Heikhalot) and the Zohar and it is not known what the name Metatron means.Am I saying Jesus is Metatron?Absolutely not at all ,I know some other off shoots of Christianity have said Jesus was a fleshly manifestation of the angel Gavra’el (Gabriel) I am not saying anything of the kind, Jesus is co-equal and eternal with the Father. This pertains to the two powers in heaven theory that was popular in Judaism in second temple times.People often think that the Trinity is new in Christianity but before it was called heretical by the Rabbi’s in the second century CE a second equal power in heaven was common Jewish belief.Metatron was a mystical Rabbinical allegory to a time when something like a Son of God would rule the universe.
What is the 3rd Book of Enoch that is not found in scripture but is a Deuterocanonical book (meaning not in the Bible but Jewish or Christian in content)
The Third Book of Enoch (Hebrew: ספר חנוך לר׳ ישמעאל כ׳׳ג), also known as The Book of the Palaces, The Book of Rabbi Ishmael the High Priest and The Elevation of Metatron, and abbreviated as 3 Enoch)[1] is a Jewish apocryphal book. This is part of what is called Merkavak Mysticism.
This is from 3rd Enoch chapter 10
CHAPTER X
"God places Metatron on a throne at the door of the seventh
Hall and announces through the Herald, that Metatron
henceforth is God's representative and ruler over all the
princes of kingdoms and all the children of heaven, save
the eight high princes called YHWH by the name of their King"
Here from chapter 12:
(5) And He called me THE LESSER YHWH in the presence of all His heavenly household; as it is
written (Ex. xxiii. 21): "For my name is in him".
So how should we view all this ,as poetic fiction but in that it shows that the concept of the true Messiah being Son of God was in the thinking of sages and Rabbi's before Jesus came. That the Messiah would be divine and not a mere human as Orthodox Judaism and Islam today maintain. This text shows in a time where the Rabbi's thinking was until the two powers in heaven theory was called heresy because they feared it looked to much like the Christian Trinity.
So the issue not is Metatron real or did the real Enoch of Genesis really experience all this, being transformed into Metatron and then sitting on the Holy throne and being called YHVH katan (little Lord God). But if anyone ever tells you though Jesus cannot be the Messiah because the Messiah is not divine and simply a human king who brings Israel peace. And that the Trinity is new to Christianity in the 4th century ,tell them this is lie and that Messiah as God himself and two powers in heaven was standard Jewish thinking in second Temple times. This theory was not called heresy by the ruling Rabbi’s likely Tannaim who outlawed it in the third century fearing it would validate Christianity as the Christian church was growing in that time.I am not the one two fully explain the two powers theory but read books or watch video’s by the late Hebrew Biblical scholar Michael S. Heiser ,he was an expert on this idea.So in short the main point is not the scriptural validity of Merkavah Mystical concepts or 3rd Enoch but to show where Rabbincal thought was and that the Trinity is old not new.

Now in parashah Toldot chapter 12 verse 97
Toldot: Verse 97
“And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time…with Rivkah his wife” (Beresheet 26:8). IT IS SAID “with (Heb. et) Rivkah his wife,” precisely, which alludes to the Shechinah that was with Rivkah, BECAUSE ET (‘WITH’), AS WE KNOW, IS THE NAME OF THE SHECHINAH. Another explanation asks if we could possibly conceive of Isaac performing his marital duties during the daytime. We have learned that the children of Yisrael are holy and abstain from cohabitation in the daytime. Therefore, how could Isaac, who was holy, cohabit during the day?
The late Minister Derek Prince once made an analogy that Abraham represents the Father and Isaac the Son and Rivkah (Rebecca) the Christian Church or the Bride of Christ. So the Sh’khinah the Holy Spirit would be with Rivkah.
Toldot: Verse 100
Rabbi Elazar said that this is because the Shechinah does not live outside the Holy Land. Therefore, there is no fear of Elohim in this place. This is not Her place, and She does not dwell here. And Isaac was strengthened by the faith, when he saw the Shechinah dwelling in his wife.
Verse 100 also interesting and it is true that when the Church lost Jesus as a living person they gained the Holy Spirit after the ascension.
ere we are in parashah Vayetze (and he went out or left)
Vayetze: Verse 24
Two evil spirits cling together. THE ILLUMINATION OF the spirit of the male is a thin light, and the spirit of the female materializes in many ways and paths. She cleaves to the spirit of the male, wearing ample jewelry like an abominable whore standing on main roads and pathways to seduce men.
Here it is talking about Dibukim or Dibuk in the singular דיבוק ,these are demons that cling to things. The name came from Dabak meaning to stick or cling and this means glue in modern Israel.I do not know what is their significance but I thought I’d point this out.
Now onto verse 175 and I thought we’d go into the meaning of the tribal names.
Vayetze: Verse 175
Rabbi Yosi opened the discussion with the verse, “Now will I praise Hashem.” HE ASKS, Did it not behoove her to praise the Holy One, blessed be He, for each of the sons she bore and not only this son? Judah is the fourth son of the throne, and he completed the throne. Therefore, Judah alone perfects the throne; he is the pillar that supports all the other pillars. How many lights shine because of Rabbi Shimon, who illuminates the world much more with the Torah.

We are now in parashah Vayishlach
Vayishlach: Verse 195
Here, RACHEL was punished by the Evil Inclination, which accused her in a time of danger and punished Jacob for his unfulfilled vow. This was harder for Jacob than all his previous troubles. From the words, “Rachel died by me” (Beresheet 48:7), We know that RACHEL DIED because of Jacob — surely this happened because of me, because I tarried in FULFILLING my vow.
Here is Genesis 31:32
32 “The one with whom you find your gods shall not live. In the presence of our brothers, recognize for yourself what is with me, and take [it] for yourself.” For Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen them”
So did Yaakov (Jacob) curse Rachel? Maybe ,honestly in my own life I have seen this happen to people ,I won’t give examples and not to point anyone out or humiliate someone but be very careful how you use the word die or death.
Do not ever wish death on another person or yourself because it attracts evil spirits or say I’d be better off dead, even if it does not kill you it can bring curses with it.One thing I can tell is I once had a boss who was quite high strung and an employee said “he’s going to have a heart attack someday” ,and at 45 he had a heart attack.
Now parashah Vayigash chapter 2 verse 15
Vayigash: Verse 15
The soul consists of three grades and therefore has three names, just like the Supernal Secret, Nefesh, Ruach, and Neshamah. The Nefesh, as has been explained, is the lowest of them all. The Ruach is its sustenance. It rules over the Nefesh, being of a higher grade, to sustain it well in everything . The Neshamah is the supreme existence. It reigns over all, being a holy grade superior to all .
This is talking about the Nefesh, Ruach and N’shamah
The nefesh means soul, being, person, one and pertains to animal as well as human life.(BTW I am not endorsing all of the text above just the main subject)You could look at the nefesh as a more carnal or physical soul or a living being. Here in Genesis 1:20 the nefesh does refer to animal life in this passage but also means human life too.
This word is the most common word in the Bible for soul.
The ruach which literally means wind and in the Torah and other parts of the Bible it is used for wind without spiritual implications. It also means “spirit” .
Here in Gen. 1:2 it is used as spirit of God perhaps the earliest reference to the Holy Spirit.ר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֔ים (spirit of God)
Now N’shamah meant to breath and did not begin to mean soul in Hebrew until the early middle ages but today the N’shamah or Neshamah is a higher soul then nefesh. And Ruach means more spirit than soul.
Here is more elaboration on this matter and again it is mysticism so not take it hook line and sinker but it shows some realistic things that scripture does bear out.
Vayigash: Verse 16
The three grades, NEFESH, RUACH AND NESHAMAH, are included within men, who attain them by serving their Master. Thus first, man has a Nefesh, a holy vessel with which to be corrected. But when he is intent on purification through this grade, man is corrected and crowned with a Ruach, the holy grade that dwells on the Nefesh, with which the deserving man is adorned.
Vayigash: Verse 17
Once he is elevated by Nefesh and Ruach and attains correction through proper service to his Master, Neshamah, a supernal, holy grade that reigns over everything, dwells on him so that he may be adorned by the highest holy grade and be perfect in everything, on all sides, and thereby merit the World to Come. He is then beloved of the Holy One, blessed be He, as it is written, “That I may cause those who love Me to inherit substance” (Mishlei 8:21). “…Those who love Me” refers to those in whom the holy Neshamah abides.
Vayigash: Verse 19
Come and behold, There are grades upon grades, Nefesh, Ruach, and Neshamah, grade above grade; first Nefesh, being the lowest grade, as we said, then Ruach, which dwells on Nefesh and is above it. Neshamah is the highest grade, as has already been explained.
My interpretation on this is that ruach is spirit and spirit is spirit and nefesh is a carnal animalistic soul and n’shamah is the higher sanctified soul.Adam and Chavah (Eve) had the n’shamah in Eden but lost it only retaining the animalistic nefesh after the fall.Humankind at birth is born with the dead soul of nefesh because we are not God’s children but Adam’s.When we are born from above or born again we obtain our n’shamah.

What is Merkavah מֶרְכָּבָה mysticism merkavah meaning chariot which is a mystical tradition from Ezekiel chapter 1.It is a tradition about God’s throne room ,throne and chariot.Often called ספרות ההיכלות sifrot haheikhalot or the literature of palaces. It is about envisioning and obtaining access to God and his palace and throne and Holy Chariot. It is not super popular now ,it was a big thing in the second temple period until Kabalah became more popular in the late middle ages.
Here is Vayigash chapter 12b verse 123
Vayigash: Verse 123
“And Joseph made ready his chariot.” Rabbi Yitzchak opened the discussion with the verse, “And over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of a firmament, like the color of the terrible ice, stretched out over their heads above” (Yechezkel 1:22). This verse has already been explained, yet come and behold, There is a living creature above another living creature, and a holy living creature standing over the heads of the other living creatures.
Vayigash: Verse 124
There is a living creature over all the other living creatures. It rules over them all, for when it gives OF ITS STRENGTH and shines upon them, they all travel about, derives STRENGTH FROM the other, and rule one over the other.
The main corpus of the Merkavah literature was composed in the period 200–700 CE, although later references to the Chariot tradition can also be found in the literature of the Hasidim of Ashkenaz in the Middle Ages. A major text in this tradition is the Maaseh Merkabah (Hebrew: מַעֲשֵׂה מֶרְכָּבָה, romanized: maʿăśē merkāḇā, lit. ‘Work of the Chariot’) (Heb. pronounced merkavah)
Now in Vayechi chapter 3 verse 38
Vayechi: Verse 38
For the fathers are the supernal Chariot on high, as it is written, “And Elohim went up from Abraham” (Beresheet 17:22), “You will show Truth to Jacob, Grace (Heb. chesed) to Abraham” (Michah 7:20). And we learned that the Messiah will come.
This Aramaic text is interesting and I always like to emphasize the Aramaic because of the criptic language the English translation can be scetchy.
Truth is given to Jacob (the Jews ,the law) and to Avraham (the whole body of God’s family) is taught grace or kindness chesed, and from that come’s Mashiach (Messiah).
So how I understand this is that Jacob is truth (Torah ,law word) and Jesus is the Torah in flesh (John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God). Avraham is grace ,kindness (chesed) the other aspect of Messiah Christ Jesus. It is important that Jacob is truth, word because he is the natural bloodline of the Jews and Avraham (Abraham) is grace because he is the whole adopted family of God through the new birth.
I am not saying that Merkavah mysticism is Christian but like with the vision of Metatron if you stab at truth long enough you find some and Jesus is truth so his reflection will inevitably show up.

So now for the adult section and the issue (no pun intended) of masturbation and birth control (Zera Levatala) and does is create demons as some Jewish lore suggests.
Vayechi: Verse 192
For we have learned that he who spills his semen in vain is called evil (Heb. ra), and cannot behold the face of the Shechinah, as it is written, “For You are not an El that has pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with You” (Tehilim 5:5) and also “And Er, Yehuda’s firstborn, was evil (Heb. ra)” (Beresheet 38:7). Here too, “Woe to the wicked…ill (Heb. ra). Woe to the wicked who is evil and made himself evil (Heb. ra), “for according to the deserving of his hands shall be done to him.” This means that whoever whores himself by letting his semen spill in vain is punished in the world of truth more than any OTHER TRANSGRESSION.
Here is Babylonian (gemara) Talmud Niddah 13.a.1
MISHNA: With regard to any hand that is diligent to examine bodily emissions to ascertain ritual impurity, among women such a hand is praiseworthy. But among men such a hand should be severed, as this action is apt to lead to a seminal emission for naught.
13.a.2
GEMARA: The Gemara asks: What is different about women and what is different about men, that women are praised for examining for bodily emissions while men are castigated for the same? The Gemara answers: Women are not susceptible to sexual arousal by this action, and therefore when a woman is diligent to examine herself she is considered praiseworthy; whereas men, who are susceptible to sexual arousal and may experience a seminal emission as a result of this contact, may not do so, and the hand of a man who conducts frequent examinations for emissions should be severed.
This is where the Rabbi’s really can be to blunt stupid.Sometimes the Talmud is profound and others really misses the mark.By stupid I mean not that spilling seed is good but that women are not pleasured by masturbation.

Spiritually, Zera Levatala is an extremely huge and grave sin. It is totally unfathomable how bad the punishment in Heaven is from this sin. It can cause those potential children that got wasted to turn into demons and attack you for what you did to them by not giving them a Guf (body.
I have not found any direct mention that masturbation or birth control or even abortion creates demons directly.I think it is very possible that death attracts existing demons.Spilling or wasting seed through masturbation or birth control could bring demons in your life but there is no real evidence other than lore that semen turns into a demon once wasted.I am not saying it is not possible but no evidence for this.It is a very grave sin but I am not finding evidence of the part of the lore of making unclean spirits by wasting seed. Now onto something more disturbing while were on the Talmud and birth control.
Here the Talmud is not condoning sexual assault but simply saying these tragic things happen and the victim will be legally a virgin for her future benefit.
Next issue is , and again I won’t quote for sensitivity sake but, Tractate Ketubah part 3 39.a 1 if you want to read
it talks of legality of using a contraceptive and in context is saying that if a abuser uses a cloth or any contraceptive device to stop pregnancy it is not held against the victim as a sin and for her health .This is not saying that sex with minors is permitted only that if a minor is abused and something is used as contraceptive it is for her benefit and the sin of birth control is not upon her. This is not permission to have sex with minors ok but only if said abuser uses birth control as to cover his deed that the victim is not at fault. We must remember that in the era that this was written the use of birth control was considered a (it still is a sin today) more wicked sin than our society now views it.So it had to be in the law that a rape or abuse victim was not responsible if birth control was used in the bad act.If this had been written today more sensitive language would have been used but the contextual intent was protection of the victim and to give legal ruling of ketubah suites in court. In those times if a woman was not a virgin her ketubah or marriage contract could nullified and there could be a suite against the brides father. So a non virginal woman was non marriable ,so to allow birth control under rape or abuse kept her a legal virgin allowing her to marry someday
(Warning disturbing)

Rava’s dilemma is based on the assumption that a rape victim is able to conceive before she is a grown woman. The Gemara asks: And can a minor conceive? But didn’t Rav Beivai teach a baraitabefore Rav Naḥman: It is permitted for three women to engage in relations with a contraceptive resorbent. These are they: A minor, and a pregnant woman, and a nursing woman. The baraita elaborates: A minor may do so lest she conceive and die; a pregnant woman, lest her existing fetus be crushed by another fetus and assume the shape of a sandal fish if she conceives a second time; and a nursing woman, lest she conceive, causing her milk to spoil, which will lead her to wean her son prematurely, endangering his health.
Although disturbing these outdated laws were to protect pregant and nursing womens contract and a minors future right to marry. And this is why although the Talmud has substantial wisdom it is foolish to take it as inspired scripture. And in closing although a sexually promiscuous society will surely bring the a plague of demons but seminal fluid does not create them in my opinion by the evidence.

thought I would go into the Ten Sifrot ספירת עשר and what they are. What are they ?They represent the attributes of God and the tree of life.
What are the ten Sefirot ( סְפִירוֹת) ? Sefirot is a plural word meaning emanations or that source or origin. The Ten Sefirot are one of the most important aspects of Kabbalah which is Jewish mysticism and make up the aspects of the Tree of Life and in some ways out line the personality attributes of the Divine.I am not though a Kabbalah teacher or an expert on Kabbalah and this article is not about traditional Jewish Kabbalah.Nor am I saying the true believers in Jesus the Messiah should study Kabbalah because Kabbalah is useful in giving better understanding to a religion that does not yet have Messiah because the Ten Sefirot are all about the attributes of Messiah. So we as followers of the Messiah do not need Kabbalah. This article is about Jesus/Yeshua and the Ten Sefirot and not Kabbalah!
Lets get started:1.Keter/Crown/כתר
Can we agree based on obvious scripture that Jesus has the highest crown,as it is written he will rule the world with an iron scepter and every knee will bow to him.Don’t forget the crown of thorns on the stake he bore!
2.Chokhmah/wisdom/
Can it be agreed and likely even by atheists and pagans that Jesus was wise,no dispute here!
3.Binah/understanding/בינה
Jesus had understanding,he understood us and how hard the flesh is but he also understood his Father and the importance of being Holy and Jesus understood just how to temper justice and mercy.
4.Da’at/Knowledge/דעת
We have here from John 1:1
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.(NIV version)
Not only did Jesus have knowledge but he was knowledge.
5.Chesed/Kindness,love,grace annd compassion/חסד
Here is Ephesians 1:3-7 NIV
3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace”
Ephesians 2:8-9
” 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast” 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast”
We know John 3:16 that Jesus died because he so loved the world,Jesus had Chesed!
6.G’vurah/strength,bravery/
We know Jesus resisted satan in the desert and Jesus languished on the cross for us and still rose from the dead ,so yes Jesus had g’vurah, strength, courage!
7.Tiferet/Glory,slendor/
Philippians 2:9-11
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
8.Netzach/Eternity/נצח
Just reading the New Testament I think we can agree Jesus is eternal and gives us eternity ie.. John 3:16
9.Chod/Splendor /חוד
He was born of a virgin, walked on water, fed 5000 with a few loaves of bread and some fish and even Pontius Pilate could not find fault with him and even the grave itself could not hold him and to the right hand of the Lord he ascended.
10.Yesod/Foundation/
Revelation 13:8 NIV
8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation (foundation) of the world.[b]
Corinthians 3:11
11 “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. “
Jesus is also the basic foundation of salvation as well.
Finally .Malkhut/Kingdom/
It says Ten Sefirot but really it is 11 because Keter and Da’at are considered two within one .But Jesus has a Kingdom for a 1000 reign and an eternal reign in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21 )
These are the attributes of God from a Christian/Messianic perspective and it is important to remember that even if we don’t embrace Kabbalah to not throw the baby out with the bath water. These divine attributes shed light of the personality and nature of our Messiah who has his Keter and will have his Malkhut and the Chesed he feels and gave for us.
I should also further go into the Zeir Anpin זְעֵיר אַנפִּין (meaning small face or lesser countenance) because they represent the six attributes comprising the emotional sephirot attributes: Chesed, Gevurah, Tiphereth, Netzach, Hod and Yesod. Also the Zeir Anpin is secret code for Messiah which will explained later.
